It is one of the most important settlements in the Aegean during the Early Bronze Age (1st half of the 2nd millennium BC). It has been preserved in good condition until our days, thanks to the volcanic materials that entirely covered the city, keeping intact multistoried houses with exceptional wall paintings and a plethora of luxurious vessels and furniture. A lost city reminiscent of Pompeii that awaits you.

Journey to the Center of the Earth

While Santorini is widely known as a popular destination for weddings and honeymoons, few of its enamoured travellers realize that the picturesque Caldera is the enormous underwater crater formed by the volcanic eruption around the 16th century BC, submerging three-quarters of the island. Explore this unique geological phenomenon with one of the small boats that tour the Caldera, making the first stop at the lunar Nea Kameni, where the volcano's crater resides.
